Here in Australia, we are blessed with larger homes than our European counterparts, which affords us a dedicated room solely for the purpose of laundry. But the rise of inner-city apartments and the cost of living has put a spotlight on small footprint living and in some cases, forced these micro spaces into existence.
I get so over stuff. I work with stuff, I specify stuff, I source, collate, install, style and photograph stuff. What I really love, is a clean slate.
Thats the second person today to come in and say, “I’ve had a designer out, but I didn’t like what she was recommending.”
And thats ok, we don’t always hit the nail on the head first time round, or sometimes even the second time. But its the next bit that bothered me: “It just didn’t feel right.”
And that’s the crux. Home is a feeling.
